Humility is a desired virtue for coaches and players, although its importance is mostly stressed through anecdotal evidence. In this presentation, Ho Huynh will describe the scientific construction of humility and review research in psychology to emphasize outcomes of humility. He will specifically explain how humility can benefit both players and coaches and suggest how coaches and players can incorporate humility “training” into their programs.
